This test provides an indication of the test taker's language proficiency by assessing their ability to understand and use English grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures. Test structure: Multiple-choice grammar, vocabulary, and writing task Total questions: 50 Multiple-choice questions, 1 writing task Duration for the Test: 60 minutes Number of attempts: 1 time Marking system: 1 point for each correct answer; 0 points for incorrect or unanswered questions. One writing task is worth 10 points. Mark distribution and CEFR Levels: The total score for the multiple-choice section will correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) proficiency level based on the percentage of correct answers. 90% - 100%; C2 (Mastery): Can use the language fluently, accurately, and effectively on a wide range of topics. 75% - 89%, C1 (Advanced): Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. 60% - 74%; B2 (Upper-Intermediate): Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics. 45% - 59%; B1 (Intermediate): Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. 30% - 44%; A2 (Pre-Intermediate): Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple exchange of information. 0% - 29%; A1 (Beginner): Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Writing task is evaluated based on: content relevance (3 marks), coherence and organisation (2 marks), grammar and sentence structure (2 marks), vocabulary and word choice (2 marks), spelling and punctuation (1 mark) Certification: You can get a free e-certificate from the admin office for your test results. A printed certificate charges €50. Additional €30 courier fee is applicable depending on your location.
